Jambo! Habari?
We have left Tanzania….although it was a long trip out of the country. Cathy and John experienced the problems of travel including cancelled flights and delays. It was not a nice ending to such a great trip.
I will continue to add photos and snippets of the Partnership Program in Tanzania.
It was extremely productive trip with renewed commitment to partnerships at Muhimbili University, Pasada, TTCIH and St Francis Hospital in Ifakara as well as funding possibilities looming around the Canadian government corner.
Dr. John LeBlanc worked with the Pediatric residents at Muhimbili as they prepare their research proposals and helped move forward an IDRC research proposal for micro-research.
Dr. Cathy Cervin and I went to Ifakara for the week where we are involved in medical education for the tutors and educators at the TCCIH (Tanzanian Training Centre for International Health)
During our time in Tanzania, the team was involved in teacher training, updating curricula, providing continuing education workshops, and mentoring students and residents.
